B-E-A-F T-R-E-E-S is about drawing, painting and celebrating the diversity of trees in Bournemouth. Susan Cunningham will be doing this by employing ideas and techniques from the Western tradition of 18th and 19th century landscape painting.
This will involve drawing and painting in the open air (en plein air) at the Russell-Cotes tropical garden. The art will reference trees we are familiar with, as well as the more unusual. You are invited to come and see her outside at work on Saturday 4th May, 10.00 – 17.00.
Susan will also facilitate a workshop on drawing trees. Drawing inspiration from “Drawing Trees and Nature’’ by the 19th century Victorian landscape artist James Duffield Harding.
