Saturday May 6th – Adventures in Blue
Join us for an overview of some of the key blues in the Museum collections; including painting, sculpture, textiles, and parts of the building itself. At the far side of the colour spectrum and ranging from deep indigos to the lightest shades of sky, blues surround us everywhere, even where you least expect them.
This is an opportunity to slow down, tune in, and absorb visual ideas; paying attention to the ways that different artists have used blues in their work, helping inform and inspire your own way of working.
In addition to exploring the galleries, we’ll be discussing our responses and discoveries and working freely with a range of materials to further develop your own unique palette and expression of colour.
