A pastel workshop exploring the fascinating colour schemes developed by the RA artists.
What effect does colour have on our perception?
Spend a day sketching and studying these works in pastel pencil, and making experiments in softer pastels in the workshop using your own inspirational starting point (landscape or portrait).
Students should bring a pastel sketchbook, pastel pencils, eraser, chalk pastel sticks for the workshop, and a photographic image to transcribe. Please also bring fixative or hairspray.
Students may bring a packed lunch to be eaten in the education workshop area, or the museum café is available.
No food or drink is allowed in the Museum.
