Exploring Modernism Workshop of art history and practical art with artist Abi Kremer
Extra date added 10:30 – 4:30, Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd April 2017
Additional date added due to demand.
An exciting weekend workshop combining a stimulating mix of art history and practical art to enable participants to study a fascinating time in British art and build their drawing and painting skills.
The weekend will be inspired by the art works on show in the current ‘Meeting Modernism’ exhibition.
The themes will be divided into landscape and portraiture, studied on subsequent days. Using pencil, pastel pencil, pastels, pens and watercolours.
Complete beginners are welcome, as individual tuition will be given and those new to art history studies will benefit from the informal discussions in a friendly group, in front of the art on display. We will then be able to work with pencils and pastel pencils in the gallery and develop the practical studies to paint in a workshop setting.
Suitable for complete beginners as well as more experienced practitioners
Cost: £70 for both days
