Erroneously attributed to Edward Burne-Jones for many years due to a forged signature on the canvas, Aurora Triumphans is now considered one of Evelyn De Morgan’s finest paintings.
To mark the centenary of this radical feminist artist’s death, De Morgan Foundation Curator Sarah Hardy will give a lecture on the Aurora Triumphans and open a new display of preparatory sketches for her masterpiece.
