An exclusive opportunity to experience sublime classical music in the unique setting of the Russell-Cotes.

‘As Music is to the Ear, So is Art to the Eye’

            Merton Russell-Cotes

As part of the Bournemouth Emerging Arts Fringe running from 28th April to 7th May (for more information see here) we would like to invite you to an Opera Gala and Meet the Musicians evening here on Sunday 6th May.

This will feature singers from Debut Opera’s Classical Concert Series (as featured in Opera Now), a conversation with the artists and a chance to see some of the Russell-Cotes’ fascinating musical instrument collection.

Expect to hear works from the era of East Cliff Hall, including Debussy, Puccini, Lehár, Vaughan Williams and Gershwin.

Bournemouth-born soprano Lizzie Holmes (La Bohème at the Trafalgar Studios, Oliver Awards Nominee 2018) and tenor Joel Williams (Oxford Lieder Festival; Opera Holland Park; Opéra de Paris), accompanied by award-winning pianist Jo Ramadan, will also share loved classics from Mozart, Donizetti & Verdi.

A rare chance to see our musical instrument collection.

Many of our musical instruments are not on display to the public. For this night only, Curator Duncan Walker will present some of these exotic instruments from across the world.

Tickets are £35 and include a glass of wine, doors open at 6.30pm.

If you would like to join us for this evening then I recommend you book early by calling 01202 451820 or buy online here as tickets are very limited.
