Under the Microscope: Lucy Kemp-Welch and Margaret Evangeline Wilson

Slideshow Shim

As part of our celebration of female artists, join speaker and tour guide Nick Hawkin for a discussion of two of our most popular paintings by female artists: Gypsy Horse Drovers by Lucy Kemp-Welch, and Recognition by Margaret Evangeline Wilson. Both artists, born in the 19th Century, were local to Bournemouth, and represent the diversity of the Russell-Cotes collection.

Sunday 22nd April, 2pm
Entry to the talk is £2, or free for Friends of the Russell-Cotes.

Please book in advance to ensure your place.  Ask at the Welcome Desk or ring 01202 451820.

2018 marks 100 years since the right to vote was granted to certain women in Britain, and we are celebrating this centenary with From Venus to Victoria  – a programme of talks and tours around the fantastic females in our collections.
