Russell-Cotes Arts Gallery & Museum, Bournemouth, has achieved one of the highest accolades in travel – the 2016 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award.

Now in its sixth year, the award celebrates excellence in hospitality and is given only to establishments that consistently achieve great reviews on TripAdvisor. Certificate of Excellence winners include attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a superior customer experience.

Miranda Prescott, Russell-Cotes Visitor Services Team Leader, said; “We are really grateful for all the kind reviews from our visitors. From the dramatic views to the immersive experience in the historic house, our visitors capture it all on TripAdvisor and we love that they share their find with other users.”

Marc Charron, President – TripAdvisor for Business, said; “TripAdvisor is pleased to honour exceptional hospitality businesses that have received consistent praise and recognition by travellers on the site. By putting a spotlight on businesses that are focused on delivering great service to customers, TripAdvisor gives businesses both large and small the ability to shine and stand out from the competition.”

Comprising an art gallery, museum and historic house, a licensed café and a shop, it features collections of high Victorian and Pre-Raphaelite Art of international-standing including Albert Moore’s Midsummer and Dante Gabriel Rossetti’s Venus Verticordia.

Built by Merton Russell-Cotes as an extravagant birthday gift for his wife, Annie, it celebrates the couple’s passion for art and travel, world cultures and natural history. Situated on Bournemouth’s stunning cliff-top over-looking the sea, this exotic seaside villa has been sealed in time creating a unique atmosphere in a most dramatic setting.
