Farewell of Henry Irving, 1905
A framed programme from the Theatre Royal, Bradford, featuring Sir Henry Irving on the front cover, titled Farewell of Henry Irving. It is dated ‘Monday, October 9th 1905, for Six Nights’. The scheduled performances were Becket on 10 and 13 October, Louis XI on 11 October and The Bells on 12 October and The Merchant of Venice on 9 and 14 October, however Irving fell ill suddenly following a performance of Becket and died in the Midland Hotel, Bradford, on 13 October 1905.
