Laurence Hart was born in Harborne, Birmingham. He was both a poet and an artist. He painted mainly watercolours of landscapes and rural scenes in the Impressionist style.
He studied at Birmingham Municipal School of Art. Little is known about his life but he exhibited at Agnew’s Gallery in London, the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts, the Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours.
