Light blue parakeet and flower vase
Originally displayed in Merton’s bedroom, this vase is decorated with parakeets and a flower design by Fred Passenger. Fred Passenger, along with his brother Charles, was one of William De Morgan’s best and longest serving decorators, between them working for 60 years for the firm.
When the company closed, De Morgan allowed the brothers to continue creating and selling De Morgan designs from their Kensington showroom until the business closed permanently in 1907.
