Museum Late: Animals in Art & Nature

Slideshow Shim

Experience the magic of the museum at night with this special evening exploring animals in art and nature.

Animals and nature have always been a source of inspiration for artists. With a world of textures, colours and shapes around us to explore, we can discover new ways of seeing animals and connecting to our local environments through artwork.

Responding to our exhibition In Her Own Voice: The Art of Lucy Kemp-Welch we will be taking a look at equine art and other animal symbolism throughout art history.

Explore the animals in our collection through object handling and other activities.

Pre-book a delicious Afternoon Tea in our Café to make it a really special evening. Available up to 6.30pm.

Third Thursday Club

Our Museum Lates take place every third Thursday of the month, exploring a different theme each time. Why not consider joining the Friends of the Russell-Cotes, which includes free admission to the museum for a year, including to each of the monthly Third-Thursday-Club Museum Lates?
