Join our curator Duncan Walker in conversation with esteemed illustrator Paul Kidby. Learn about his career, life and infamous illustration for Sir Terry Pratchett’s renowned Discworld series of 41 novels.
There will be a chance to ask questions at the end and the opportunity to purchase books from our shop which Paul can sign for you.
Paul Kidby and Terry Prachett
Paul Kidby is best known for being the ‘artist of choice’ for the award-winning writer Sir Terry Pratchett, who passed away in 2015. Self-taught illustrator and artist Paul Kidby, who left school at the age of 17 to work as a commercial artist, started working with award-winning writer Sir Terry Pratchett in 1993 and has since been responsible for creating iconic artworks for the ‘Discworld’ series of books. Since 2002, he has created the amazing book jackets for Sir Terry’s works, and even illustrated the 2017 publication ‘Terry Pratchett’s Discworld Imaginarium’ and the 2019 publication ‘Good Omens’ written by Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.
