Meet Our Musicians

Slideshow Shim

Come along and enjoy the delight of the historic house filled with music. Our Music Volunteers create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, bringing the house to life. This music is intended to be enjoyed as you explore the museum, it is not a formal performance.

Please be aware that times may vary and sometimes music is cancelled last minute, depending on volunteer availability.

Sara Jo Martin

Piano – Sara loves the creative process and the opportunity to bring healing and upliftment by playing piano live. She is best known for her own compositions and also enjoys playing arrangements of well known classical music. Sara plays approximately once a month on a Tuesday afternoon.

Hope Schachter

Piano – Hope is a Bournemouth-based pianist and songwriter. Her repertoire covers a wide range from the classic to the modern. Hope can usually be heard playing at the museum on Wednesdays from 12pm – 2pm.

Mik Parsons

Flute – Mik plays a wide range of short mostly classical pieces with digital backing tracks. He plays work by a range of composers, including Debussy, Bach, Chopin, Mozart, Faure, Satie, and many more. You can often find Mik at the museum on a Wednesday afternoon from 2pm – 4pm.

Trevor Langham

Piano – Trevor is a classically trained pianist, who started his musical life at the age of 6, became a rock sensation in the 1960s, and now plays a range of classical, romantic and modern pieces. Trevor usually plays in the museum on a Thursday until the early afternoon.

Keith Lawes

Piano – Keith plays all classical pieces, mainly Chopin, Beethoven and Bach. He concentrates on the more moving and melancholy pieces from each composer, but you can expect some happier compositions as well. Keith usually plays on Fridays from 1.30pm – 3.30pm.
